I was really lucky as I had the one room with a balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was basic but good value and edible. Burger was most excellent. Also had a bit more pricey meal next door in Halifax Hall which was good too. Jonas, Endcliffe Village, Sheffield

My wife and I had a fabulous stay at this 3 star hotel. Very welcoming comfortable and hard working pleasant staff. We will endeavour to stay again in the new year. Thank you for making our stay memorable. Best Western Valley Hotel, Ironbridge

Overall a reasonable place to stay and good value. Staff were extremely helpful. My only concern (as a woman) was the safety of the general environment (around the university). Loring Hall, New Cross, London

Very good situated near the city centre. I booked (and paid for)a room with view to the river. In summertime completely blocked by the élavés of the trees :) Roomzzz York City
